The Tsala Treetop Lodge
by
Imagenius
Carefully designed by Architect Bruce Stafford, The Tsala Treetop Lodge is literally set on stone pillars in the canopy of trees overlooking a totally untouched valley.
Inspired by a stone wall ruin, a legend was created that informed much of the design of the lodge and the interiors. Like the monumental ruins of an ancient central African civilisation, Tsala’s impressive stone-masonry entrance flanked by water features leads to a magnificent foyer supported by Blackwood columns.
About Imagenius
For over 30 years I have been integrating my deep love of Africa with my passion for exceptional guest and lifestyle experience. I have a keen sense of adventure and the ability to introduce a sense of playfulness into the creation of beautiful and welcoming spaces.
I take each project from conceptualisation through design to installation, following through with comprehensive operational consulting as each project requires.
My design inspiration springs from the unique DNA of each location and the sense of place it inspires. It is a mindful connection with that space and careful consideration of it’s function and an understanding of it’s occupants that is fundamental. Relevance, original thinking, collaboration with other artists and respect for materials are all part of the process to create an environment that embraces the space it inhabits.
In my work I strive to maintain a light footprint and to respect the environment and all those with whom I connect. I am always conscious of the total experience and want each guest to feel the complete joy my work brings me.
