Tile Africa: Revel in a luxury spa bathroom at home

The ultimate expression of a luxury spa bathroom is to create the feeling of space and appointing the room, in a welcoming way that makes it a delight to use. The design team from Tile Africa give their top tips on how to get the look, for your home.

Layering in luxury

When putting a luxurious spa-bathroom together, carefully plan and select all the elements that you want in the space. These include free-standing baths, counter-top basins, walk-in showers and elegant storage units. Layer in extra touches of luxury with plush towels, heated towel rails and of course, some fabulous bathrobes. Remember to pay attention to the lighting in the room, as this is key in creating the right ambience.

A Classic Monochromatic Palette

A classic expression of luxury is to use marble-look porcelain or ceramic tiles, for a timeless monochromatic look upon which to build your spa bathroom. White marble, or carrara marble says sophistication with a light and airy feel. Add some drama with glossy black bathroomware and décor tiles in white, black and grey.

 Cocooned in luxury

The warmer shades of cream and beige bring gorgeous depth to this classic look. Pair stone-look tiles with wood-look furniture, to offset the white bathroomware. Add richly coloured towels to create the cocooning feel of this bathroom.

 Moody Minimalism

A more minimalist expression is one inspired by industrial aesthetic, with cement or stone-look tiles, offset with black accessories and trend-forward black taps to bring a moodier interpretation to luxury.

When creating a luxurious spa-bathroom, it is the attention to detail that truly brings a space together. Combining the finishes you love, will give you the luxurious sanctuary that you deserve.
