In fact, the firm has been shortlisted in various design categories of the globally renowned International Design and Architecture Awards in the UK! Additionally, they have just been shortlisted for the Designer of the Year 2022 award!
Audi Snÿman has been shortlisted for three categories in the prestigious International Design & Architecture Awards 2022. Hosted by design et al, a leading UK interior design magazine, the aim is to commend design, recognize talent, create opportunities, and offer inspiration. A winner in the 2021 awards, the design house will soon once again face stiff competition when 2022 voting opens on 24th August. Open to industry professionals and interested parties, the competition closes on 21st September.
The International Design & Architecture Awards have supported the global interior design and architecture industry for some 15 years, providing designers the opportunity to highlight their projects in a market where competition is fierce, with entries streaming in from the crème de la crème of designers around the world. The competition offers several different categories, including interior design and product design. The awards are regarded as “the pinnacle of recognition within the industry.”
Audi Snÿman Interior Design’s project Maison Bénie (blessed house) has been shortlisted in all three categories entered by the design house:
1. Interior Design Scheme – Middle East and Africas Award
2. Bedroom Award
3. Residential Market Value Over £5 Million Award
Audi Snÿman Interior Design’s brief was to design a contemporary 1,600sqm entertainment haven set in a prestigious estate in Gauteng, South Africa. It needed to ooze decadent opulence and ultimate luxury and be of premium quality and class. The home needed to be bespoke and elegant, reflecting the owners’ lifestyles, personal tastes, and personalities of the entire family. An indoor cinema, home spa, hair salon, private gym, children’s play areas, indoor and outdoor bars, well stocked wine cellar, outdoor pavilion, outdoor boma, large garage space to house six luxury vehicles, infinity pool, indoor swimming pool, his and hers studies (using Versace tiles), statues and wall art were just some of the unique requirements for this special project.
Of being shortlisted again in 2022, Audi said: “I am thrilled, the international nod to my work is highly rewarding and encouraging. We have reason to celebrate, our South African design talent stands out amongst the most highly rated of interior designers in the world. Please vote for me, vote for project Maison Bénie it is not over yet!”
