Entirely renovated in 2019 with natural materials from the region such as stone, old larch wood and lauze, Refuge de la Traye has retained all the soul of the authentic and traditional mountain refuge that was originally created in 1982. Today, it consists of three beautiful chalets, connected by an interior corridor, offering 6 bedrooms and suites.

With its limited capacity, guests can rest in total privacy in a peaceful atmosphere. Throughout the season, the property can also be reserved for exclusive events or holidays with friends or family, supported by a dedicated team.

This winter, Refuge de la Traye presents new services, equipment and facilities that highlight the special, one-of-a-kind experience it offers to its guests. Among these new features, the heated outdoor swimming pool and the new beauty treatments are due to charm their sophisticated clientele, in search of ultimate relaxation and well-being.

Isolated at an altitude of 1650 m, Refuge de la Traye is utterly exempt from noise and time. Similar to a retreat, guests come to reconnect with nature and to enjoy an unforgettable experience. Back to basics guaranteed! Access to the area is organised from le Villard (les Allues) by the Refuge’s teams via a shuttle system, geared to cross the snowy forest paths. As soon as guests arrive, they are amazed by the ever-present wildlife and flora.
