OKHA bespoke designs hand-crafted
Championing bespoke designs, hand-crafted techniques and noble materials, OKHA Cape Town-based design studio has just introduced Franki II to its collection.
The seating collection, which forms part of the larger Frank range, fits perfectly with the studio’s design philosophy as its designs redefine our notion of modern elegance.
“Franki II brings a softer and more feminine approach and in true OKHA style the Franki II celebrates the power of purity and reductionism, celebrating the beauty found in clean lines and sculpted forms, a silhouette that is contemporary and sophisticated,” comments the design studio.
“Inspired by the desire for gender duplicity, Franki II effortlessly balances masculine and feminine characteristics. A slight variation in finishes and geometric elements leans the design towards one gender or the other, making it a truly versatile addition to any interior space.”
The striking bar stool is available in two graphic designs: one with a backrest and one without.
“Every angle and curve has been designed to enhance and express a highly graphic visual impact, from the striking vertical vertebra that runs from the base to the seat, creating a powerful visual element, to the consideration given to the more often seen rear view,” adds OKHA of the design.
As well as standard black, grey and white powdercoat finishes, the bar stool is also available in high-gloss gold for those seeking to add a touch of opulence to their interiors. In addition, OKHA also offers a selection of custom finishes and leather and fabric upholstery options for the Franki II.
