Perfect Hideaways of South Africa Book 3 is Coming!
After the incredible success of Perfect Hideaways book 1 and book 2, the team is delighted to announce that book 3 will be released in November 2023, featuring a collection of the latest unique, and inspirational hideaways.
The book is aimed at local and international travellers who love bespoke design and discovering unforgettable settings. It encapsulates all that we love about South African design. As such, it will certainly inspire and encourage people to explore beyond the well-beaten paths, finding lesser-known destinations amid our beautiful country’s mountains, valleys, and beaches.
The first two editions of the Perfect Hideaways book were both best sellers in South Africa. The books subsequently transport readers to a world far from everyday life… a world that engages all their senses, uplifts, and inspires.
The homeowners included in the first two editions experienced wonderful growth in awareness and bookings. This was especially true among international visitors who love to purchase the book as a souvenir of a fabulous trip, or a gift for a loved one.
What some had to say about book 2:
‘I bought this book for my parent’s coffee table at their holiday home in South Africa and it is a BIG hit! Beautiful photography and written in such a way that you feel you are there lazing under the baobab tree, paddling in the lagoon, floating in the azure pool. Love it, need to get me a copy!’
‘Beautiful photography of amazing properties.’
‘This is the perfect coffee table book. If this doesn’t tempt you to book a trip to South Africa, nothing will!! I have my bags packed and am ready to go.’
About the Curator
Helen Untiedt is the co-founder of Perfect Hideaways, along with her husband, David. Born with a passion for travel and adventure, Helen spent many years sailing, exploring the world and experiencing different cultures. Helen’s vision for Perfect Hideaways from the beginning was to curate a portfolio of homes that offer fabulous locations, incredible architecture, and beautifully layered interiors. Places that make one feel held in the space. Places that offer a holiday experience that surpasses the ordinary. ‘When I walk into a house, I know almost instantly if it will make it into the portfolio.’ Helen says. ‘It’s not just visual, it’s also visceral; a home must hold a palpable sense of the thought, creativity, and love that has been poured into it.’
