This Weeks Must-See Decor and Design Events
From the Royal Academy’s Summer Exhibition currently underway to the upcoming Decorex Johannersburg, the décor and design calendar is jam-packed with must-see events.
Here are the events to plan for in the industry.
Visit the Royal Academy’s Summer Exhibition to see Brick from a Stone’s “unloved stone” maquette.
Dates: 18 June – 18 August 2024
A maquette for Brick from a Stone, an installation that debuted in May during Clerkenwell Design Week 2024, has been chosen for the Architecture rooms at the Royal Academy of Arts’ Summer Exhibition.
British stone companies Albion Stone and Hutton Stone commissioned London-based architecture firm Artefact to create Brick from a Stone, which demonstrates the low-impact manufacturing process of turning stone into a brick.
Both companies have invested in cutting-edge gear to transform ‘unloved stone’ (blocks/slabs of limestone and sandstone with surface flaws) into new collections of stone bricks.
