Hay Cupola Lamp
A bright new design by British designer John Tree, Hay is proud to unveil the Cupola Lamp.
Inspired by the uncluttered aesthetics of architectural forms, the series of adjustable lamps explores the possibilities of providing optimal movement using minimal mechanisms.
Named after the distinctive circular domed head of the lighting design, Cupola is available as a Desk Lamp, Clip Lamp and Wall Lamp, all with a 360° rotating head and pivoting mount to provide localised, directional light to suit specific uses and rooms.
“Crafted in durable aluminium, the lamp’s natural anodised finish creates a raw, industrial expression elegantly counterbalanced by the uncluttered, rounded design,” says Hay of the design, which is their second collaboration with the designer.
Tree previously designed the Apex Lamp collection for Hay. The award-winning London-based product and furniture designer currently divides his time between the Jasper Morrison studio and his own, where he pushes and explores industrial processes to create contract and domestic furniture, lighting, accessories, and electronics.
Hay is locally available through Inova Contracts, a local stockist of design-led furniture for discerning South African buyers.
Representing top names in the furniture world, such as Hay, Knoll and Pedrali, Inova Contracts is the go-to for unique, functional and appealing designer pieces.
