Poltrona Frau: Vanity Fair armchair.
The term sitting pretty takes on a whole other meaning when the sitting is done in Poltrona Frau’s iconic Vanity Fair armchair.
Officially called “model 904” when it was first produced in 1930, but known since 1984 as Vanity Fair, over time, this seat has become the emblem of Poltrona Frau.
Designed by Renzo Frau, the armchair has become a classic over the years as it encapsulates all of the values the brand is best known for timeless elegance, quality materials and consummate craftsmanship.
Characterised by its deliberately volumetric configuration, the supporting structure of the Vanity Fair armchair is made from solid, seasoned beech. The padding uses both hand-shaped vegetable horsehair and rubberised horsehair, and the seat cushion is in goose down. The seat, backrest and armrest spring system consists of hand-tied steel biconical springs attached to jute belts. A row of leather-covered pins refines the back and sides of the armchair. Upholstery options include Pelle Frau® leather or fabric, including boucle, twill and wool. Part of a numbered edition series, each armchair also carries a 24kt gold-plated label.
The Vanity Fair armchair is also available in a mini version.
Founded by Renzo Frau in 1912, Poltrona Frau has evolved over the years and today also includes the companies Ceccotti Collezioni, Janus et Cie, Luminaire, Karakter, Luxury Living Group, Interni and Zanotta, as well as Cassina and Cappellini.
Known for its outstanding design craftsmanship, the brand is lauded the world over for its exceptional innovation and quality, crafting contemporary classics for the modern home.
