Geberit: Choosing Colours And Combinations For Your Bathroom

Choosing a colour in the bathroom is a tough one for many. The range of different colours on offer is huge. Furthermore, technical aspects such as high levels of moisture and cleaning have to be considered. These ideas should help you choose the right colour for your bathroom. Be Inspired by Geberit Southern Africa.

Pantone announced Peach Fuzz – a mixture of pink and orange – as its 2024 Colour of the Year. The warm colour reflects natural light sources optimally, which makes the room appear brighter and more airy. This is particularly beneficial in the bathroom, which is usually a small room without large windows. The soft peach colour can help to increase the sense of space in the room while also ensuring a cosy atmosphere. In the bathroom, Peach Fuzz can be combined particularly well with other pastel colours, warm brown shades, and white.

Matt black will continue to gain in popularity in the bathroom. Similar to chrome, it can be combined with every colour and tile. As a tap or furniture colour, black matt creates an exciting contrast to the simple ceramic appliances when used in combination with wood or organic materials, such as natural stone with striking veins running through it. As the colour absorbs reflected light, the bathroom is less bright and therefore cosier.

What other aspects should be taken into consideration when choosing paint?

It is recommended to use special paints in the bathroom that prevent mould growth. Because of the water vapour, the room climate in the bathroom is very humid.

Conventional emulsion paints are usually not compatible with the high level of moisture seen in the bathroom. Suitable paints are labelled accordingly. Silicate paint or latex paint are both ideal.

The advantage over wall painting is that bathroom utensils can be replaced easily and cost-effectively. We think we can safely say, saving a few bucks is top of everyone’s mind.
