Eclectic wine cabinet in bold steel and oak By The Wine Room
This unique cooled wine cabinet was designed, manufactured and installed by The Wine Room in their client’s living area; and provides a multifunctional cellaring space for reds, whites and champagnes.
The wine ladders provide shelving for 750ml and 1.5l magnums; finished in bold black steel and stained oak in zero-VOC finish to ensure no negative chemicals influence the longevity of the client’s wine. The warm tones complement the client’s eclectic design pallete which includes natural stone, cool metals and bright pops of warm fabrics.
The cabinet is cooled at 15°C / RH using a ducted split climate control unit; with two wine coolers provide space for champagnes at 5-8°C. The cellar-graded glazing allows the client to use the cabinet within close proximity to an open fireplace and cooling areas.
The Wine Room specialises in creating upmarket, state-of-the-art wine cellars and bars, with a turn-key service including design, manufacturing and installation of cellars, bars, understairs displays, drinks areas and cooled cabinets. The Wine Room provides solutions for wine racking, integrated lighting, temperature and humidity control; cellar-graded glazing, insulation and vapour barrier as required. Each project is handled by a team of interior designers and project managers, who liaise with clients, architects and contractors throughout the process.
