Plascon House Tour: A Flourishing Green Home
Today’s house tour takes us into a pristine family abode located in south London. The creative owners who call this four-storey residence their home, are an artist and an architect. Together they bring an innovative spin to this 19th-Century house with flourishing greens, vintage finds, paintings and more.
From the moment you walk through the front door, you are welcomed by a bold installation of greenery that adds freshness and life into the interior of this home. Patterned flooring, detailed cornices and a bold vintage framed mirror adds to the depth of this space and sets the tone for the rest of the home.
Double doors open to a patio area and welcomes the light into the living room. High ceilings are striking here and a gorgeous chandelier draws your eye into the centre of this room, with detailed ceiling details that bring added ornamentation and design to this space.
Subtle pops of colour tie the design scheme together, with hints of blue and green, also brought about by the inclusion of natural and organic planters in this space. A vintage rug adds warmth to the space while an arrangement of art at eye level on the walls adds interest here.
Naturally, the kitchen too becomes a display of original artwork. A fun installation of framed prints lines the back wall and adds to the organic feel of this home. Open shelving and seamless cabinetry brings a fresh minimalist feel to this space. However, a touch of luxury cannot be ignored here – with a bold vintage crystal chandelier at the heart of this room. Beautiful wooden herringbone flooring completes the look.
The organic theme continues into the bathroom with low-lying shelving and a beautiful display of wares, including glass vases, hints of greenery and more. We love the freestanding tub with warm metallic taps that lean towards a more vintage era. A little antique stool brings a sense of old world charm this space.
The bedroom is spacious and unassuming. White walls create a simple and calming zone in the house. A large bed anchors the room with a gorgeous plush area rug that adds a lovely textured feel to this space. A bold monochrome print acts as a statement piece here and we love that it has been mounted low down on the wall, as to draw our eyes downwards and also emphasise the amazing height of the ceilings here.
Overall, we love this flourishing green home with organic and natural flair in every space.
