If you have not noticed, we are crazy about local designs and empowering our local South African artisans to continue producing amazing things that we can be proud of. 8th Avenue is no exception. With a flair for all things local, 8th Avenue brings the finest South African design talent to your door. 100% local design. 100% local manufacture. And we are 100% excited about this exciting initiative putting local craftsmanship in the spotlight.
8th Avenue was created to bring together South African design talent and customers looking for unique designer pieces. Designers are offered a retail platform to distribute their products while clients have access to their products with an easy-to-use, secure online shopping experience, backed by free delivery and returns. Take a look at some of the fascinating products on offer here: Their home decor available online includes artwork and glassware, soft furnishings and tableware. We love the soft pastel tones of the scatter cushions (5,6 and 7) on offer and the subtle yet feminine artwork (8) to add charisma to your home. Platters, planters and baskets add to the array of local crafts available online and there is also a host of featured products including clothing for men and women as well as accessories to suit different tastes. They also host regular Designer Trunk Shows where you can meet the designers, taste some Boschendal wines and shop for beautiful designer pieces in a gorgeous garden setting.
