The perfect art curation with Ritzi
It is not often you find an individual whose artistic sensibility and business sense blend as effortlessly as in Rina van Zyl.
The curator
Rina’s work immediately grips the viewer, ranging from exquisitely soft and ethereal, to deep and powerful in an instant. Each artwork is distinctive, created through a process she describes as “accompanying the client on their journey”, and she explains that creative collaboration is essential to her work.
“To me, art is very personal, and since it will ultimately end up in the client’s living or work area, the big drive behind my artworks is to create something where the client can also participate in the creative process,” says van Zyl. In comes Ritzi, a business inspired by the collaborative nature of van Zyl’s work aiming to make original art accessible while empowering creatives through a stable infrastructure and a sustainable income platform.
The business provides artwork for sale or rent in venues as diverse as boutique hotels and large corporates, to restaurants, B&Bs, and high-end homes. The pieces are designed for specific spaces according to an individual or brand’s needs through a free consultation process. The collaborative process takes two forms: commissioning works from artist partners who are briefed for specific spaces (post consultation with client), or collaborative projects such as the Skin Collection, which are created and then sold or rented outside of specific briefs. The artist
Shiralee Siebert is a highly talented fine artist who has exhibited and sold some of her work through the Lindy van Niekerk Gallery, as well as to private owners in the United States, United Kingdom and Saudi Arabia. Shiralee left the corporate environment of design to pursue her passion and now paints full time. 90% of her work has been commissioned and embodies mostly portraiture; figurative; landscape and wildlife subjects. Her expression in her work is conveyed through the use of various mediums such as oils, acrylics and other textural mediums. The beauty of creation and the sanctification of the human soul inspire Shiralee’s creativity, and her aspiration is to awaken compassion in the hearts of viewers.
The Skin Collection Inspired by nature, the Skin Collection, created by Shiralee Siebert and presented by Ritzi, is inspired by nature – the images have a 3D effect of coming out of the canvas. With wild animal conservation on their minds and hearts, this exclusive body of work of abstract art is created to bring the great outdoors into your space, whilst capturing your wild imagination. They wanted to create something that would move people’s hearts and instill in them a sense of awe for the beauty, details, and patterns found in nature.
This required a considerable amount of experimentation, as the artists sought to portray each animal and scene in the mediums and techniques that would best reflect their unique beauty. They wanted the viewers to experience the thrill of seeing the textures and colours of the skins, bones, and other anatomical details in an abstract format. Ritzi is a perfectly curated gallery where art comes to life. A deep love and appreciation of artwork ensures that only the best talent is available.
