DIYgirls Creates Showstopper Stand At Decorex 100% Design

DIYgirls unveiled a breathtaking stand at the recent Decorex 100% Design launch. This impressive display is a testament to the brand’s commitment to excellence and dedication to empowering individuals through design. At the helm of this success is the talented Vinette Diab-Nicholls, a visionary with a passion for transforming spaces and lives.

Let’s find out more…

Vinette Diab-Nicholls, interior designer and founder of DIYgirls, has a passion for female empowerment. A philanthropist at heart, she always knew that her company would not only care about profits, but also about people. She feels strongly about uplifting the community while creating top-class products and services for her clients.

“I realised early in life that transforming spaces is about so much more than aesthetics. It improves our use and enjoyment of our homes, it makes our lives easier, it essentially makes the world a better place.”

Vinette’s mission is to inspire change, create positive impact, and provide women with a platform where they can master new skills, empower themselves, and showcase their talents. We asked Vinette about the latest stand design at Decorex….

During the event setup, you shared that you were not just setting up a display but creating an experience. Can you share some of the elements that went into this design…

We went all out with maximalism, celebrating abundance and creating an inviting, dynamic space inspired by nature. Vibrant colour palettes, clashing patterns, and textures made the hall pop with life. We mixed vintage and modern elements for a sophisticated yet playful twist. Highlights included a life-size Queeboo Giraffe chandelier, a wall-to-wall library with the SA Decor & Design Buyers Guide, handmade sculptures by the upcoming artist Huys, and a collection of joyful fabrics that have been produced using environmentally friendly digital pigment inks. Every piece was intentional, enticing visitors to touch and feel, immersing them in our world of colour and vibrant design.
