Espresso Design: A High-End, Sleek & Streamlined
Pushing the boundaries of contemporary design with a beautifully sleek and modern aesthetic, Espresso Design brings elevated class and poise to this newly designed private residence in Melkbos, Western Cape.
The choice of quality finishes gives this home a sophisticated edge. In collaboration with GSQUARED the home’s modern layout provides the ideal parameters for a contemporary flow with a high-end designer interior.
In the kitchen, tall units are finished in simple white lacquered oak with stainless steel Lexi handles. Keeping things streamlined and beautifully minimalist, open shelving has also been incorporated into this space with Kriss Kross panels in bleached oak with Kalea vertical slatted details. At the heart of this space, the kitchen island is a focal point, boasting 22mm Maxima doors with stainless steel and groove profile handles. In the kitchen gorgeous Corian worktops complete with look with stainless steel leaving its mark in the scullery.
The concept for the island in the kitchen was that the architects wanted it to look like a monolithic block of concrete with all joints mitred and seamless. Due to the limitations of concrete as a material for countertops, designers opted for Corian which adds to the magical allure of this space. The kitchen appliances are all Gaggenau and Liebherr for the refrigeration – emphasising the stylish high-end design of this space. Designers worked closely with kitchen manufacturers, Cesar Arredamenti Spa to achieve the completed look.
