Reviving Milanese Nightlife: Humbert & Poyet’s Rumore Experience
Just a stone’s throw from Beefbar Milan, the creative duo Humbert & Poyet has unveiled their latest masterpiece: Rumore, a cocktail bar that redefines the Milanese nightlife experience. This hidden gem, accessible through a discreet door, draws inspiration from the Italian lifestyle and the nostalgic charm of 1970s television sets, blending retro elegance with a contemporary flair.
A Warm and Captivating Atmosphere
Step inside Rumore and be enveloped by an inviting atmosphere that exudes warmth and charm. The entrance is adorned with a stunning red carpet featuring psychedelic patterns designed by fashion designer Sara Battaglia. The ambiance is further enhanced by mid-century style red velvet chairs, which provide a striking contrast to the stylish leopard prints and vibrant green ceramic tables topped with octagonal surfaces. Custom alabaster lamps designed by Emil Humbert and Christophe Poyet add the perfect touch, completing the bar’s eclectic spirit.
The Heart of Rumore: A Stage for Entertainment
At the center of this vibrant space lies a captivating stage, highlighted by an impressive backdrop made of frosted and 3D glass panels that emit a soft, alluring glow. The curved motifs reflect the Art Deco aesthetic, a signature of Humbert & Poyet’s design philosophy. Long curtains frame the stage, while a sparkling disco ball casts playful light across the room, especially onto the elevated DJ booth, which boasts a sexy polished mirror finish.
An Intimate Speakeasy Vibe
For those seeking a more intimate setting, the bar counter features seating for around twenty guests on high leopard-upholstered stools, offering a prime view of a beautifully arranged liquor display reminiscent of classic speakeasies. Balancing traditional charm with modern touches, Rumore also showcases a preserved antique fireplace, complete with mirrors that create a striking visual effect. The venue’s fluted wood paneling, paired with bold graphic wall coverings inspired by the 1980s, adds to the overall allure.
Curated Art Collection and Interactive Vibes
Adding to its uniqueness, Rumore houses a curated art collection managed by Amélie, Maison d’art. The artworks displayed throughout the space evoke a sense of freedom, mirroring the liberated spirit of the venue. With a setting that effortlessly blends the sophistication of a jazz performance with the lively energy of a bustling nightlife, guests can expect unforgettable evenings filled with excitement and connection.
In this glamorous backdrop, Humbert & Poyet celebrate la dolce vita through every meticulously crafted detail, from the furniture to the lighting, narrating a story of celebration, style, and Italian refinement.
