THE STORY.

Italian tile specialists Ceramica Sant’Agostino have carved an enviable reputation for the creation of highly imaginative and innovative interpretations of the natural world. UniversalDesire is the overarching concept for Sant’Agostino’s Star Range, designed to offer the opportunity to explore wonder. A Signature Range of marble looks, exclusive to Italtile, the Star Range explores the dimension of extravagant living, investigates the noble contrasts of marble and celebrates its magical nature.

THE RANGE.

The 100% Italian range depicts two distinct yet twin “souls”, and Italtile is proud to represent both interpretations. The first is Star Onyx Emerald Krystal, an explosion of geode-like colour, reminiscent of the birthing of endless star clouds viewed through the James Webb Space Telescope. The second is a more tranquil “soul”, Star Marble Emerald Krystal, with rivers of coloured veins flooding across and radiating off white marble. It evokes a serene mood that reawakens the “UniversalDesire” to lose ourselves in the fluidity of a space. Together they aim to create a dual experience that will elevate a single wall, a single floor, or colour drench the entire space.

Both Star Onyx and Star Marble have 25 faces: this means there are 25 individual graphic interpretations of the pattern to minimise pattern repetition, create a sleek flow and underscore the integrity of the design. Both Star Onyx and Star Marble offer the promise of an imaginative and luxurious aesthetic, whether used in a traditional or contemporary space.

THE MAKING.

Star Onyx Emerald Krystal 900×1800 and Star Marble Emerald Krystal 900×1800 are high gloss, large format porcelain tiles. The 9mm thick tiles have been precision cut to produce rectified edges which offer a uniformly straight edge. The process enables tight grout lines of no more than 1.5mm and provides a sleek and uninterrupted surface which opens a room and conjures up a sense of spaciousness. The near seamless finish adds extra dimension to the extravagant nature of the highly decorative marbled graphics, allowing for a continuous flow across walls and floorscapes. Ceramica Sant’Agostino’s unique DigitalPlus technology delivers superior digital printing with high-definition graphics, both lifelike and imaginary. The dramatic and eye-caching personality of the graphics is elevated by Sant’Agostino’s advanced polishing technology called Krystal, which delivers an astonishingly glossy, almost liquid shine.
