Diabla: Elevating Your Resort Experience

Diabla collections go beyond being a mere addition to the landscape: they become an intrinsic part of the environment, providing visitors with an authentic and meaningful sensory and emotional experience.

For Diabla, the magic begins with carefully selecting materials that are not only resistant, sustainable, but also beautiful. In this way, each piece seamlessly integrates into the landscape, becoming an organic extension of its surroundings.

Versatility also plays a prominent role. The Diabla series adapts to various settings, harnessing natural light and shadows to create ever-changing atmospheres throughout the day. Their lightweight, modular designs allow for easy reconfiguration, whether for a sunset celebration or a peaceful morning reflection.

Ergonomics is another essential factor. Each hammock, chair, or table is ingeniously designed for user comfort, inviting relaxation with an almost sculptural embrace. And when it comes to Diabla, we cannot overlook the artistic touch and inspiration embodied in their creations, crafted by renowned designers such as José A. Gandía-Blasco Canales, SamuelWilkinson, Héctor Serrano, Odosdesign, Alejandra Gandía-Blasco, and Borja García. With their Diabla collections, they transcend the mere functionality of outdoor furniture, elevating it to an art formthat celebrates nature’s beauty and enhances the human experience.

7 Ways to Elevate Outdoor Living to a Resortful Experience.

One of the most admired qualities of outdoor furniture lies in its ability to enhance and respect the natural environment that surrounds it. Therefore, a successful design should become a harmonious intersection between nature and the user, capturing the essence of the environment and immersing the user in a profound connection with the outside world.

1. TUBA, by Samuel Wilkinson

TUBA, designed by Samuel Wilkinson, stands out for its unique and repetitive tubular profiles, which exude distinctive simplicity at first sight. Its construction, with seamless welds and curvaceous forms in the chair, anticipates a sense of comfort and evokes the relaxed beauty of natural havens that offer mental refuge. TUBA achieves a delicate balance between straight lines and curves from all perspectives, radiating the cozy charm of oases in a desert, inviting users to connect with nature and experience a profound sense of well-being.

The use of textured thermo-lacquered aluminium in the seven shades of Diabla’s color chart ensures TUBA’s strength, durability, and resilience against weather conditions and wear. Its lightness and easy storage make it ideal for furnishing small terraces and private patios, as well as meeting the demands of high-profile contract projects in resort environments.

2. CACAO, by Odosdesign

CACAO is an inflatable lounger that can effortlessly transform into a daybed, thanks to a complementary thermo-lacquered aluminium structure, making it a versatile and adaptable choice for various outdoor spaces. Developed by Ana Segovia and Luis Calabuig from the Odosdesign studio, it boldly defies conventions and transcends traditional labels in outdoor furniture.

Inspired by a chocolate bar, CACAO evokes a sense of pleasure in open-air settings, encouraging delightful moments of enjoyment. The inflatable nature of furniture like CACAO complements modern nomadic lifestyles and travel preferences, offering comfort and sophistication in any situation.

Additionally, its removable structure and array of color options provide personalized choices for each user, creating the perfect blend of recreation and relaxation to fashion a personal resort experience anytime, anywhere.

3. TRIP, by José A. Gandía-Blasco Canales and Borja García

TRIP’s deckchairs, designed by José A. Gandía-Blasco Canales and Borja García for Diabla, transport us to the Lençóis Maranhenses national park, where we can discover a unique landscape that harmonizes magical white sand deserts with crystal clear lagoons. In this idyllic setting, TRIP’s design allows for an authentic connection with nature, embracing the diversity of ecosystems.

This deckchair reinvents the iconic beach hammock, infusing it with cutting-edge aluminium design. Manufactured with durable plastic fabric and a Dryfast foam cushion, suited for outdoor furniture,TRIP ensures optimal comfort and long-lasting durability. Like other pieces in the TRIP collection, it is easily transportable and fun-proof, adapting effortlessly to diverse resort experiences while adding a sensual and aesthetic allure.

4. PLISY UP, by Alejandra Gandía-Blasco, and SAIL, by Héctor Serrano.

PLISY UP, in its striking red hue, blends seamlessly with the flamingos that frequent the salt pyramids landscape of Bonaire in the Dutch Antilles. The color harmony in the metal structure’s forms of this floor lamp seems to draw inspiration from the presence of birds in these exotic salt flats. The lampshade’s polyethylene emits a warm and subtle light, creating a cozy and pleasant ambiance as the sun sets.

MaretaXL Resort Diabla

Illuminated by PLISY UP, the cuddly outdoor armchairs, SAIL, by Hector Serrano, offer an experience akin to a warm embrace. Their filling made of a mixture of polystyrene beads and shredded polyurethane intuitively conforms to the body’s contours, providing comfort and adaptability for relaxed and casual environments reminiscent of a contemporary resort. SAIL’s design, inspired by 1960s filling techniques, employs only two fabric pieces and a triangular pattern. Special outdoor fabrics and removable upholstery ensure easy cleaning and maintenance.

5. MARETA, by Héctor Serrano

MARETA XL, also designed by Héctor Serrano, is a large chill-out style armchair, generously filled with polystyrene beads that intuitively adapt to the body’s shape. Its ample depth and softness evoke the feeling of falling into a ball pit, offering extreme comfort and relaxation for those seeking a fulfilling escape.

MARETA XL’s marked rectilinear shapes contrast beautifully with its pliable filling, creating an enticing design that captivates those who sit in it, endowing the piece with distinctive character. Furthermore, its special fabrics designed for continuous outdoor use, along with removable covers, facilitate easy cleaning and maintenance, ensuring its durability and quality on any surface, even on the beach.

6. CLIP, by José A. Gandía-Blasco Canales

CLIP armchairs and tables, by José A. Gandía-Blasco Canales, form one of the brand’s most ingenious sets, as they can be assembled from just two elements to create a myriad of different furniture pieces.

For instance, combining the armchair with its side table can give rise to a lounger. This versatility encourages Diabla resort guests to experiment and create diverse CLIP settings according to their needs and preferences, fostering creativity and personalized space design.

These elements boast sinuous and low height designs that make them exceptional generators of a casual atmosphere, perfect for relaxed and easy environments. Crafted from 100% recyclable polyethylene, these pieces are resilient and versatile, with the option of complete recycling at the end of their life cycle. Additionally, their rotational molding manufacturing process guarantees maximum quality and durability.

7. LIPSTICK, by José A. Gandía-Blasco Canales

Also conceived by José A. Gandía-Blasco Canales, the LIPSTICK collection is a furniture proposal imbued with a playful and cheerful personality, inspired by the shape of a lipstick. Comprising an outdoor armchair and a coffee table, it offers countless versatile combinations to create a private resort experience in any corner. Its oval, subtle, and elegant shapes strike a delicate balance that draws attention without being overtly conspicuous.

Crafted from 100% recyclable polyethylene via rotational molding, these pieces easily adapt to various terrains. With LIPSTICK, it’s impossible to lose sight of the horizon, as it beckons you to dream of a vibrant and carefree oasis by the water’s edge.
