Local lighting and outdoor seating design studio Studio Lloyd has got you covered when it comes to creating your outdoor living room for this summer season. The studio incorporates the traditional technique of crochet into modern outdoor seating and focuses on creating organic shapes within each unique design.

The designs are partly or fully made of multifilament rope which is commonly found in the yachting industries. The rope is made to be outdoors and due to its UV protection and the anti-mould effect, it is the perfect material to live permanently in outdoor spaces.

The Sayari Collection

The luxurious Sayari Outdoor Collection is inspired by the beauty of the African continent. The return of sculptural and curved seating – outdoors. “Sayari” is Swahili and translates to “Planet”. The focus of the collection lies in being gentle and conscious of our Sayari and creating products made of the Eucalyptus Globulus alien species which has a negative impact on the biodiversity of South Africa. The collection consists of a reflective and thought-through environment made to last.

Round Ottomans

The authentic handcrafted ottomans are made out of Studio Lloyd’s signature multifilament rope and offer a timeless aesthetic and feel, which at once brings texture and warmth to your outdoor living space.

The ottomans are made of a Multifilament Polypropylene Rope commonly seen in the yachting industries. The rope is made of a blend of polypropylene and nylon, it is soft to the touch, flexible and resistant to rot, mildew, and UV light. It is extremely all-weather durable and due to the UV light protection does not fade in colour.

The firmness of the ottoman can be determined individually.

Circular Outdoor Carpet

Each carpet varies in stitch style to make something different, each time. The round carpet is made of Studio Lloyd’s signature multifilament rope and is therefore suitable for indoors as well as outdoor environments. Due to its ideal material properties, it is soft to the touch, flexible, and resistant to mildew, and UV light. The entire carpet is made based on the crochet technique where a mathematical formula ensures continuous regularity.
