Create A Dazzling Living Room With Top Artistic Furniture Picks From Malabar
Malabar believes art is for all. To adorn house walls and bedsides. To move, to shock, to offend, or to be fabulous in your interior décor. Here we share four artistic furniture creations to inspire a dazzling living space.
La Voix armchair
Influenced by Giorgio de Chirico, René Magritte sought to strip objects of their usual functions and meanings to convey an irrationally compelling image. By distorting the scale, weight, and use of an ordinary object and inserting it into a variety of contexts inspired Malabar designers to conceive the La Voix Armchair.
Upholstered in high-end cotton velvet with pattern textile on its curvy armrests and supported by a walnut wood foot, the artistic legacy of Malabar lives through this artsy armchair design. Idealized to be at the centre of a living room, the La Voix armchair will turn fantasy furnishing fancies into a reality. This future classic armchair will allow you to curate a living room arty-inspired that needs no more than white walls.

Galatea Armchair
Known for his surrealist paintings, Salvador Dalí was one of the most controversial and paradoxical artists of the twentieth century. Over the last few decades, alongside Picasso and Matisse, Dalí has gradually come to be seen as a prodigious figure whose life and work occupy a central and unique position in the history of modern art.
Painting by Dali in 1952, the Galatea of Spheres depicts Gala Dalí, his wife and muse. This surrealist painting is pieced together through a series of spheres arranged in a continuous array. Playing with scales and spheres, Malabar designers conceived with artistry this future classic armchair, the Galatea Armchair.
Handcrafted with expertise by artisans, the Galatea armchair features an asymmetrical design composed of two different feet, a black and gold sphere and a rectangular walnut wood shape. There are infinite ways of customizing this future classic armchair. The result is breathtaking when the Galatea armchair is in the room.

Gala Armchair
The surrealist movement changed the way art was defined. Known as the most influential movement in the twentieth century, the surrealists focused on the unconscious as a means to unlock the power of the imagination. Salvador Dalí is memorably recognized for being one of the pioneers of this movement. Besides his wild art, Salvador Dalí was a public personality to match.
Malabar’s designers interpreted the famous painting of Dalí, “Metamorphosis of Narciso”, and designed the surrealistic-inspired Gala armchair. Supported by four negro Marquina spheres handworked by marble specialized markers, its chubby seating is upholstered in a trendy bouclé textile. The Gala Armchair was designed to be the revolution of your art-filled living room.

Starry Night
Vincent Van Gogh, the famous post-impressionist painter, found his place in art and produced emotional, visually arresting paintings over a decade. Painted by memory, the Starry Night is one of the masterpieces inherited from the misunderstood artist Vincent Van Gogh.
Although the painting shows the outside view at night from the window of the Saint Rémy de Provence just before sunrise, the work was painted during the day by heart. And nowadays it’s one of the most famous paintings ever. So inspired by the impressionist movement, Malabar designers conceived this artsy starry mirror like it was spontaneously painted to capture the impression of the light in a scene.
Conceptual yet functional, the art-filled round Starry Mirror combines in harmony irregular shapes of three exquisite materials, such as polished hammered brass, Carrara marble, and lacquered wood finished with high gloss varnish. The art-inspired Starry Mirror will be a future classic adornment in your home décor.
