Pedrali Shifting Perspectives at Salone del Mobile.Milano 2025
At the 63rd edition of Salone del Mobile.Milano in 2025, Pedrali, the renowned Italian manufacturer of contemporary design furniture, showcases its latest innovations through the #PedraliShiftingPerspectives exhibition. From April 8th to 13th, the company unveils nine new collections for both indoor and outdoor spaces, along with exciting extensions to existing product families. This marks Pedrali’s 36th participation at the prestigious event, where the company highlights its ongoing commitment to high-quality design, rooted in a 100% Made in Italy philosophy. With 62 years of experience, Pedrali continues to push the boundaries of functionality and style.
The exhibition space, designed by the Milan-based DWA Design Studio, draws inspiration from the Case Study Houses Program—an American initiative exploring innovative, sustainable, and functional housing solutions. The 1000-square-meter stand embraces a strong architectural presence, featuring geometric patterns formed by beams and pillars, which create a visual connection between past and future design. The stand’s flat ceiling enhances the horizontal development of space, promoting a continuous and harmonious atmosphere. Partition walls, designed to break the perception of enclosed areas, blend indoor and outdoor settings, offering visitors new perspectives and experiences, enriched by greenery that bridges architecture with nature.
As visitors step into the stand, they are greeted by a welcoming residential space that evokes comfort and warmth. The reflective lowered ceiling and abstract wall installations create a cozy, domestic vibe. The Opale armchair, designed by Patrick Jouin, takes center stage, embodying fluid, organic shapes and harmonious lines. Its integrated handle seamlessly blends into the backrest, while the chair’s solid ash wood or walnut legs enhance its visual appeal. The armchairs surround the Frank table by Robin Rizzini, selected for the ADI Design Index 2024 and nominated for the Compasso d’Oro 2026. The new Kawara lighting collection, designed in collaboration with Japanese designer Yusuke Kawai, casts a warm glow over the space, available in pendant and floor versions, adding to the room’s contemporary yet elegant atmosphere.
Next, the stand transitions into an outdoor environment, where the Lamorisse outdoor lounge and sofa, designed by CMP Design, create an inviting open-air seating area. The juxtaposition of the aluminium frames and rich, soft cushions offers comfort and contrast. Complemented by the Buddy coffee tables and the Anemos table, designed by Pio & Tito Toso, the scene evokes relaxation amidst a lush greenery backdrop. The Griante collection, also by CMP Design, introduces two new versions for both indoor and outdoor use, crafted from FSC® certified wood, offering a seamless connection between nature and design.
The exhibition continues to explore the intersection of materials, design, and functionality. The Pedrali Materials Library, a central feature of the stand, invites visitors to engage with an immersive experience. The large square table, divided into sections housing coloured surfaces and samples, mimics the flow of a city’s streets. As visitors move through the space, the materials shift, creating a dynamic environment that mirrors the changing urban landscape. Filicudi lamps light the scene, accentuating the abstract perception of city lights, while a palm tree introduces a green element that underscores the relationship between architecture and nature.
As visitors journey further through the exhibit, they encounter a sophisticated dining area featuring the Rizz table paired with Héra Soft armchairs by Patrick Jouin, while Ila armchairs and the Blume coffee table by Sebastian Herkner create a more intimate setting. The outdoor patio, with the new Coney collection by CMP Design, showcases clean, curved lines and a highly graphical aesthetic. The collection, made from a single-material tubular frame, reflects the company’s focus on functionality, comfort, and visual lightness.
The final area of the stand brings together various Pedrali collections in a central courtyard that features a bistro, outdoor terrace, and lounge area. The Nemea collection, celebrating its 10th anniversary, now comes in a new American walnut version, offering both woven cellulose rope and upholstered seat options for greater comfort.
Through this carefully curated exhibition, Pedrali invites visitors to explore a dynamic interplay between past inspirations and forward-thinking design, celebrating innovation, sustainability, and the seamless blending of nature with architecture. #PedraliShiftingPerspectives is not just an exhibition—it’s an experience that pushes the boundaries of design, while honoring the company’s deep Italian roots.
Pedrali is available from Inova Contracts, a local stockist of design-led furniture for discerning South African buyers.
