Plascon House Tour: Rustic Revival
A very old German cottage gets a rustic revival in pretty blues and natural textures.
During the renovations, all the strata accumulated through the ages – 1970’s paintings, laminated floors – in order to reveal the tiles beige and cherry, not knowing if they would be intact after all these years. Once discovered, removed, reconditioned and replaced in the cottage, authentic floors are one of the elements that restored the original charm of this old coach house, a rare pearl hidden in the small German village of Sprockhövel -Hasslinghausen.
In an attempt to recreate the rustic vibe and remain true to this home’s origins, the homeowner paired raw materials with ombre-blue walls; an interesting and gorgeous feature in this space.
