ITM: KVH Structural Spruce Beams
Spruce has been used in Europe for decades as the premier construction timber. It is used primarily for roof construction (i.e. exposed trusses), all other furniture applications and has a range of floor and ceiling products to complement the construction beams.
KVH is a building material specially developed for the high demands of modern timber construction with precisely defined product characteristics. KVH is a dried, strength-graded and finger-jointed softwood solid wood product. ITM stock the following sizes: 120 x 240 x 11.9 120 x 120 x 11.9 60 x 180 x 11.9 80 x 180 x 11.9 One client used the Spruce beams (160mm x 200mm x 6m) for roof trusses in a beautiful newly built house in Kleinmond, for a country looking finish. Solid rough sawn Spruce beams: ITM stock the following sizes: 200 x 200 x 8.0 200 x 200 x 6.0 160 x 200 x 6.0 160 x 200 x 9.0 Laminated Duo Beams (Finger-Jointed): Duo laminated beams are industrially manufactured products made of two planks or pieces of timber glued together by their flat side with the fibres running parallel. Duo laminated beams are the ideal base material for exceptional stable and high quality timber construction.
