GRASS 40th Birthday Celebration and Launch of new Experience Centre in Cape Town

Offering excellent movement design that turns opening and closing furniture into an experience, GRASS South Africa brings furniture to life through specialist movement systems through close collaborations with leading furniture brands and the most renowned interior designers.

With two hundred sales partners in 60 countries, GRASS is represented internationally. This includes a showroom in Cape Town, South Africa. Founded over 75 years ago in Austria, GRASS South Africa celebrated its 40th year of existence this year with a fabulous party at its newly renovated showroom in the Mother City.

The themed evening saw more than 170 guests, including industry leaders, architects and interior designers, dressed in relaxed beach chic attire, enjoying colourful cocktails, canapes, and music to fit the mood.

“Johan Joubert gave a short welcome speech and then Ercan Bal gave guest a short breakdown of where GRASS South Africa started and how it became the Industry leader it is today. It was a great honour to have some European GRASS representatives at the event” says GRASS South Africa.

“After the speeches, it was time to celebrate and network with colleagues and prospective clients.”

“It was also the perfect opportunity to show off our recently renovated offices and showroom, including our impressive new ‘GRASS Lounge’, a 120 square-metre space showcasing Europe’s latest movement system technologies. The inspiration behind the ‘GRASS Lounge’ was to create a space in which different professionals could gather to experience the latest movement systems and collaborate over new designs. Whether they’re an architect, interior designer, cabinetmaker, kitchen manufacturer, kitchen designer or consumer, this space offers something for everyone.”
