Our Brass Hex Handles are treated with a layer of micro-crystaline wax which preserves their bright brass appearance, while allowing for a smooth, gradual oxidisation (tarnishing), over time. The bright finich can be maintained by applying regular coats of wax (once or twice a year). The Renaissance Wax that we use and recommend is available here through our online store.
