The Two Twins-Light Sculptures by
STUDIO LLOYD

The almost identical twin pieces are located in a luxury private island resort called North Island (Ile du Nord) in the Seychelles. The twins compliment the main dining area of the resort and fill a well-curated space with high raised ceilings and a thatched roof. The pieces are made of our Jasper Grey and Opal Beige multifilament rope and 6 dimmable LED bulbs in one and 8 in the other. The mix of rope colours and the organic shape of the twin pieces add to the soft design of the resort and illuminate their open space with warm light.

Studio Lloyd is a female-run lighting design studio based in cape town, South Africa. it is striving for diversity within the handcrafted lighting design scope and creates unique and functional pieces.
The studio was founded in 2016 by industrial lighting designer Ashlee Lloyd. Each piece at Studio Lloyd is delicately made with sublime attention to detail. Studio Lloyd incorporates the traditional technique of crochet into modern lighting and focuses on creating organic shapes within each unique design. We allow each fixture to develop organically & we combine luxurious high-quality materials. The products range from light sculpture installations to light pendants, seating and decorative elements for international as well as local projects. The result is a culmination of functionality and true individuality.
