Head On Design – Using Bold Colours & Patterns for 12 years
There is nothing better than a POP of colour to liven up your living room, bedroom or office space.
Joanna Orr of Head On Design has been playing with bold colours and patterns for 12 years now, as seen in her striking red kudu head, clad in rich suede leather. It will literally turn heads.
She also embraces the energy of African prints with this Kudu head with a Shweshwe print, in earthy browns and ochres that dance a pattern on every piece.
And she couldn’t resist adding bright colours to her already cute unicorn and dragon heads. Great for kids’ bedrooms and fun to build, your children will squeak with delight when they see a unicorn popping with colourful hearts… or a bright green dragon that breathes fiery red ‘flames’ from its nostrils, adding a world of imagination and mythical fantasy into any kid’s space.
Bring the garden inside with this Luscious Leaf Kudu head in Birch Ply.
Or if you really want to splurge, here’s a one-off hand painted Kudu head by Cape Town artist, Sharon Boonzaier, who captures the beautiful birds and fynbos found on the slopes of Table Mountain, one of the natural wonders of the world. This sculptural art piece, titled ‘White-Eye’ is finished in gold leaf and signed by the artist.
Besides the popular kudu head, Head On Design creates many of our beloved wild African treasures, such as the elephant, the lion, and rhino. All the heads are all flat-packed and come with easy-to-follow picture instructions on how to assemble.
All products are lovingly made in Cape Town, by Capetonians.
