A Trend Forecast From Studio Lloyd
Handcrafted design, superior seating and local production are some of the hot topics on our lips in 2021. Studio Lloyd presents this and more as part of a trend forecast for 2021.
Studio Lloyd was founded in 2016 by Industrial Lighting Designer Ashlee Lloyd. Her aim is to create functional design pieces that engage with one’s emotions (perfect for Valentine’s Month). Each piece at Studio Lloyd is handcrafted with care and patience locally here in Cape Town. The product ranges go from light sculpture installations to small pendants, seating and decorative elements for large scale projects as well as private orders.
Indoor & Outdoor Seating
In 2021, Studio Lloyd is focused on creating and releasing new seating products for indoor and outdoor use. The current range consists of beautiful ottomans in various sizes which are available in multiple colours of a signature multifilament rope. The rope is durable and creates a unique long-lasting product. This rope used is commonly applied in the yachting and fishing industries.
“We will be developing extended ottoman ranges with a twist using natural materials to add to the initial design. If you are looking for something unique for either your home, workspace, commercial space or your outdoor living- room keep your eyes peeled.”
