StudiA: It all begins with an idea.
With a focus on offering bespoke, high-quality interior design and architecture services, South African-based StudiA offers a personalised approach to ensure each client’s unique vision is brought to life.
“Our vision is to provide strategic design and planning services to add value in both rural and urban areas,” says the studio.
“We strongly believe in making a difference in the world, with a focus on Africa and its developing areas.”
To do so, the studio offers a range of services, from entry-level design guidance to full project-managed design implementation.
Clients seeking design consultation services can choose between a standard consultation during which the team visits the site to discuss requirements or design and concept development services. For this, the team will prepare a mood board of ideas and inspiration for the project.
StudiA also offers colour coding services. As part of the service, the studio will provide paint colours and codes along with the recommendations for each designated area.
They are also on hand to help with sourcing or commissioning furniture and artwork according to client’s aesthetic and budgetary requirements.
Homeowners looking to renovate will also be happy to know that StudiA offers a special renovation service.
“StudiA focuses on providing clients with value-for-money solutions to renovation and refurbishments,” explains the team.
“Our aim is to transform spaces into human-centred environments in which to live and work comfortably. We offer a variety of services including, but not limited to the following: design consultation, cost-saving design solutions, design and concept development, colour coding, furniture and artwork sourcing and recommendations, As-built drawings, 3D visualisations, and project implementation and project management.”
One of the studio’s latest projects includes the refurbishment of the World Bank office in 2022.
“The first project included the refurbishment of the main interior spaces and an additional 10 plus offices, with new collaboration space and a multipurpose room. StudiA’s involvement stretched from concept development to space planning, and quality control, up to decor sourcing and installation,” explains StudiA.
Other work highlights include the compilation of Urban Design Guidelines for an Industrial and Residential development in KwaZulu-Natal and an exciting project focused on the renewal of public spaces in the City of Tshwane.
