The Private House: A Family Retreat in Natal
This beautiful home in Natal by The Private House Company, is a relaxed and inspired retreat for the owners’ grown up family to gather for the holidays.
Interiors should celebrate “moments” in a home. In this striking home, the owners showcased a quirky collection of unique pieces which were given pride of place and dressed with signature African accessories by The Private House Company. The entrance hints at rooms beyond with surprising palettes and personality.
Natural stone, pops of acid chartreuse and coastal blues in the scatters and throws help make the home feel lived in. Inspired as always by natural light, designers anchored the predominantly white shell with natural oak to create a clean and inviting space.
We love the light, airy spaces filled with a mix of textures and organic elements that add to the depth of each room. Rattan and wood, metal and glass – all have its place in this home.
The master bathroom becomes a sanctuary with luxurious finishes and an open well-lit space to soak away your troubles. A few woven elements add to the organic tone that is dominant throughout this abode, with a woven lampshade and rug that adds texture against a white backdrop.
The bedrooms are kept simple and serene with ample natural light that filters through the space. Sleek sophistication is the order of the day here.
