SOUTHERN GUILD: Join A Walkabout of Extra Ordinary
Southern Guild invites you to meet the makers and hear the stories behind the experimental new work on show in Extra Ordinary. Curator Julian McGowan will lead a tour with the designers, all of whom were commissioned to make new pieces for the exhibition.
Southern Guild is the premier gallery for collectable, limited edition South African design, showcasing the most important work the country has to offer. On Thursday, 22 March, Extra Ordinary will take you behind the scenes where you can hear firsthand from the designers regarding their latest work. The event takes place between 6 – 8pm at Guild, Shop 5B, Silo 5, V&A Waterfront, Cape Town. Here you will encounter the featured work of Adam Hoets (Willowlamp), Atang Tshikare, Chuma Maweni, Daniella Mooney, Douglas & Company, Ferdi B. Dick, Heino Schmitt, Houtlander, Ida Elsje & Philippa Green, Jesse Ede, Madoda Fani, Rich Mnisi, Stanislaw Trzebinski, Xavier Clarisse and Zizipho Poswa.
