SpaceWorks: Aluminium products
Established in 2004, Cape Town-based company, SpaceWorks specialises in the manufacturing and installation of aluminium products such as balustrades and gates, as well as frameless glass and expanded metal products and architectural frosted, decorated and coloured glass for interior and exterior use.
Their frameless glass sliding, folding and stacking door system is currently a hot-ticket item as it perfectly delivers on the demand for seamless indoor-outdoor living and homes that are more open and in touch with nature.
“The SpaceWorks frameless glass sliding and stacking door system – exclusively imported from Europe – is not suspended, it slides on the lower rail. This enables us to use the most discrete profiles so you can enjoy an uninterrupted view of the world outside,” explains the company.
It, of course, also perfectly ties into the current move towards using more sustainable building materials and innovative glass architectural designs, as well as the trend of creating more green spaces, including contemporary home conservatories, in 2022.
SpaceWorks’ range of versatile frameless glass doors means that almost any design is possible, from enclosed patios to modern-day glass conservatories and sunrooms and living areas that can completely open up to let the outdoors in.
“Our stackable doors are bottom-supported, making them more reliable, flexible, and secure than the top-hung systems. The weight of the glass panels (over 400 kg on average) is carried on the ground track, making it a strong, dependable, and flexible installation, suitable for any type of ceiling,” explains SpaceWorks. “Practically any configuration (sliding door, stacking door, etc) is possible and the system can be used for interior or outdoor application”.
