1. AM Fenestration has built a reputation for creating bespoke glass and aluminium solutions where creativity, precision, and aesthetics come together. How do you approach balancing architectural vision with the technical demands of each project?

After more than 25 years in the industry, I’ve learnt that no two projects are ever the same. We start by understanding the architect’s vision, then work alongside the client, architect and engineer to make sure it performs just as well as it looks. We have gained experience across many different projects, and with every new one, we continue to refine, enhance and push the boundaries of what can be created from a client’s imagination.

2. As a family-owned business with more than two decades of experience in the glass and aluminium industry, how has AM Fenestration evolved to meet the changing needs of architects, designers, and homeowners?

I’ve seen the industry evolve enormously. Clients want bigger glass, slimmer frames and cleaner designs, but they also expect better performance. We’ve evolved by staying ahead, introducing new systems and becoming involved much earlier in the design process, helping architects make informed decisions before construction even begins. At AM Fenestration, we are not limited by what has been done; we are limited only by what people can dream, and together we can create. These AM Fenestration bespoke glass and aluminium solutions continue to evolve alongside the needs of architects, designers and homeowners.

3. From glass floors and frameless façades to custom aluminium cladding and architectural glazing, which recent project best reflects the company’s capabilities, and what made it particularly rewarding?

It’s difficult to choose just one project because every project brings its own technical challenges. What I enjoy most is taking an architect’s vision and working through the engineering, glazing and installation details to make it a reality. Seeing a concept on paper become a finished building that performs exactly as intended is what makes the job so rewarding. Our last project turned out so well that we had to have people cleaning and moving around in the background; otherwise, it would have looked like an AI-generated simulation.

4. Today’s clients are looking for spaces that are not only visually striking but also durable, safe, and functional. How does AM Fenestration ensure its products deliver long-term performance without compromising on design?

For us, it starts with specifying the right product. We look at everything from structural requirements, wind exposure and safety before making recommendations, while also understanding the overall vision. If those decisions are made correctly from the outset, the end result will not only look exceptional but will also continue performing for decades.

5. Looking ahead, what emerging trends in architectural glazing, aluminium systems, and bespoke fenestration do you believe will have the greatest impact on residential and commercial design over the next few years?

Architecture is becoming more ambitious every year. We’re seeing larger glazed areas, slimmer aluminium systems and a much greater focus on energy efficiency and creative design, with signature elements built into projects. I believe the future lies in combining innovative products with good engineering, giving architects more design freedom while delivering products that perform exceptionally well and are truly unique.
