Poltrona Frau Hotel DO&C
Characterised by a suave sophistication, Hotel DO&C in Munich, Germany, exudes a certain contemporary charm that is both progressive in its design, yet warm in execution.
With honey-hued wood floors and plenty of sink-in leather seats lit up by the soft golden glow of minimalist light fixtures, the boutique hotel offers an exclusive combination of international progressiveness and Bavarian charm.
For the furnishing of the hotel and its 31 individually designed rooms, over 200 choice Poltrona Frau pieces were chosen, injecting an elegant contemporary touch to the design.
This includes the Coupè bed by GamFratesi, which as its name suggests, pays homage to the classic padded elegance of the great sports cars. With clean lines and upholstered by hand using soft Pelle Frau® leather, it offers an intimate and comfortable space, especially when far away from home.
The Archibald armchair by Jean-Marie Massaud is another Poltrona Frau classic chosen for the project. Its embracing design makes it the ideal place for relaxing after a day of shopping or sightseeing.
Other notable pieces include the Letizia armchairs and Montera chairs. Designed in 1954 by Gastone Rinaldi, Letizia is characterised by a light and graceful personality, while Montera, the famous design by Roberto Lazzeroni, is characterised by a sinuous shape, conferring a light and elegant touch without renouncing comfort.
Founded by Renzo Frau in 1912, Poltrona Frau has evolved over the years and today also includes the companies Ceccotti Collezioni, Janus et Cie, Luminaire, Karakter, Luxury Living Group, Interni and Zanotta, as well as Cassina and Cappellini.
Known for its outstanding design craftsmanship, the brand is lauded the world over for its exceptional innovation and quality, crafting contemporary classics for the modern home. With extensive experience and know-how in navigating the design demands of high-end residential and commercial projects, Poltrona Frau has become the partner of choice of many architects and designers, with the company’s wide selection of premium designs helping them fulfill their aesthetic objectives with timeless elegance.
